Sorry, Thank-You and Bye!

Well if anyone still visits Ringo Catalogue, it's unfortunately time to say goodbye! I really had a great time creating and maintaining RC and I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for everyone who visited and supported the website! It really has been fun.

It's not that I don't love Ringo anymore or anything insane like that (in fact, ZAZEN XSTASY!??!?! OMG), it's because of a number of other reasons. My university course has recently become increasingly insane, and I've ran out of time to maintain the website. Plus, since I have changed computers, many of the original files I use for the website have become unusable for various reasons.

On top of that, I've started a blog, which is mainly for my design work, but also for everything else I feel like commenting on. So if you'd like, please visit www.jessemallon.com. Theres some photos of the recent Ringo 10th anniversary releases there!

I'll be leaving the content of Ringo Catalogue up for everyone to use, until my web host decides to take it all down. So, until then, enjoy everything that is Shiina Ringo, thank you for supporting RC and I'm sure I'll see a few of you around the place!

Thank you and goodbye!

Hello!

Hi everyone! Long time no update... I thought I better explain what's going on. Well for one, there hasn't been much major news regarding Tokyo Jihen for quite the while. The only thing that really happened was the airing of the live tour 2007 Spa & Treatment concert. You can grab a JPS torrent for it here, if you haven't already. Other than that, all has been pretty much quiet.

Secondly, a few months back I got a new computer, so all the files for the website (which were made in an old crappy version of FrontPage) were migrated into the latest version of Dreamweaver (as I has moved from Windows to Mac). Okay, so this is a good thing, no? Dreamweaver being the much better program and all. However, the files did not like this change, and it has become extremely hard to update any of the pages without knocking everything out of place and changing fonts and such. I would just completely redesign the whole site, if there was not hundreds of pages to redesign, and with university and work, this just isn't possible.

So, as it stands at the moment, I will try my best to keep the site updated, the main page at least. A redesign isn't out of the question, it would just be a much smaller site, concentrating on news, discography and the like. If anyone has any ideas, you're free to e-mail me at ringocatalogue@gmail.com.

Thanks to everyone for supporting RC and sorry that it can't be the best website it can be right now!

Senkou Shoujo on Music Station [UPDATED]

Tokyo Jihen have appeared on Music Station, performing Senkou Shoujo. You can either download the whole episode here (a JPOPSUKI torrent), or you can watch it here (streaming thanks to pariscombo of EMF). It features a new hair-colour for Hata and some odd outfits for everyone else!

Update: You can now check out the performance at YouTube and as a (very large) HDTV mpg, seperated from the rest of the episode, at JPS.

Also, you can listen to the English, slower version of Senkou Shoujo, aka put your camera down, here, on YouTube.

Senkou Shoujo DVD Write-up

HEDOfloe has written a great write-up on the Senkou Shoujo DVD release, exploring each of the tracks, including the End Roll feature. This contains the put your camera down track from the Senkou Shoujo vinyl, which is the Senkou Shoujo track at a slower place with added piano and English lyrics. Anyway, for the full picture check out HEDOfloe's blog.

Variety Debuts at #2

Variety debutted on the ORICON Weekly Album Charts at #2, behind Otsuka Ai's fourth original album, LOVE PiECE. It sold 102,475 copies against Ai's 208,031.

In comparison, Adult sold 169,551 copies in it's first week. However this is not as large as Otsuka Ai's drop, with her third album LOVE COOK selling about 130,000 more copies in it's first week than LOVE PiECE.
