INFORMATION
Kyouiku (translated as 'Education') was Tokyo Jihen's first album. A rockier version of Shiina's final single (Ringo no Uta) features as the first track on this album.

Kyouiku carries the theme of childrens television. This is evident through the title, as well as the covers for the releases associated with the album, using simple, illustrative approaches to design.

The album reached #33 on the end of year album charts for 2005.

ENGLISH TRACKLIST
A set of translations for the tracklist was made by Shiina Ringo. They have been translated to give a reciprocal style to the tracklist, so therefore are not exact translations of the song titles (eg tracks #1 and #12 are in a similar style, same with tracks #2 and #11, and so on throughout the album). This is a similar style presented Shiina Ringo's third album, KZK.

INFORMATION
Tokyo Jihen's second album, Adult comes in two different versions, Pour Femme ("For Her", the Normal Edition) and Pour Homme ("For Him", the Limited Edition). The Limited Edition comes packaged with a DVD featuring never-before-seen footage of the first track, Himitsu, being preformed at the Dynamite! Tour. It also comes with a special booklet containing lyrics, and an original perfume (a 'scratch-and-smell' type perfume, not the actual bottle).

Toumei Ningen, Shuraba and Superstar are different from previously heard versions, where as Kenka Joutou remains the same.

The kanji present in the title, 大人 ('Otona', or 'Adult') does not indicate the title should be pronounced as 'Otona'. It was given the Furigana アダルト ('Adaruto', or 'Adult') to indicate how it should be pronounced.

Adult carries the theme of the adult television genre, carrying on from the children/education television genre of Kyouiku. This is evident through the title, as well as the covers for the releases associated with the album, carrying a sexier, more provocative edge.

INFORMATION
Tokyo Jihen's 3rd album, Variety features songs written by other members of the band, as opposed to the mostly Ringo-only compositions on Kyouiku and Adult. Many of these songs were lifted from the band member's previous musical outings and demos. Ukigumo wrote 7 of the songs, Izawa wrote 5 and Kameda wrote 1. However, Ringo did write the lyrics for 9 of the tracks.

Prior to the albums release it was revealed that the running theme over the bands 3 albums was television genres. This album holds the theme of variety television. This theme not only relates to the title, but also the concept of allowing other members of the band to have control over the songwriting.

The kanji present in the title,
娯楽 ('Goraku'), is usually translated to pleasure or amusement. However, it was given the Furigana バラエティ ('Baraeti', or 'Variety') to indicate how it should be pronounced.

The 2 singles to be released from the album were OSCA and Killer Tune.

Kingyo no Hako was chosen to be used as an ending theme for the film Mouryo no Hako. The film is based on a novel by one of Ringo's favourite writers, Kyougoku Natsuhiko.
